Veterinary Surgeon / Practice Owner
Like Ian Healy and Billie Brown, Geoff is a boy from Biloela. At 17 he left home to go to the University of Queensland to study to become a vet. Graduating in December 1976, Geoff has worked as a veterinarian for most of that time. His main expertise, apart from extensive experience in most aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery for a variety of animal species, is his capacity for honest, open communication with his clients. Dr Geoff Teakle has stepped back from professional duties now and has handed over the professional reins to a new cohort of experienced veterinarians to carry out his legacy of high-quality service to his valued clients and pets.
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Linda is a very experienced veterinarian in most aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. Linda has worked at Coorparoo Veterinary Clinic for over 25 years, with a total of 35 years veterinary experience under her belt, including work in New Zealand and England. Linda is a doting grandmother and proud mother of three children. She enjoys crochet, live music and playing the piano. She is often training for a marathon, and you might spot her cycling to work or being hauled around by her dog. Don’t ask her how her renovations are going, they are never ending.
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Pitman is a highly experienced veterinary surgeon who joined us in 2021 at Coorparoo Vet Clinic. Elizabeth grew up on a dairy farm near Gympie, and on graduating started in mixed practice.
Moving into small animal practice in England. Her main area of interest is canine and feline medicine and preventive care.
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr. Kath grew up around the corner from the Coorparoo Vet Clinic and worked here as an evening receptionist while studying veterinary science at UQ. After graduating in 2005, she went into mixed practice in the Lockyer Valley, and then to the UQ teaching mixed practice at Dayboro until her daughter was born in 2014. Now she has come “home”.
Katherine also works in emergency and critical care at BVECCS at Albany Creek, RSPCA and AWL.
Katherine also performs veterinary acupuncture and is passionate about developing the best programme of care for your pet and your family, from before your new puppy arrives until end-of-life care.
Veterinary Surgeon
Dr Jason is our newest Vet; he joined our clinic in 2025. Jason initially worked in a mixed practice alongside our lovely Nurse Lily in the Sunshine Coast district in 2016. Jason has a passion for shelter medicine and has worked alongside Dr Katherine in RSPCA. Jason now works at Coorparoo Veterinary Clinic and AWL, he is passionate about animal welfare, surgery and geriatric care. He enjoys skiing and traveling in his spare time.
Veterinary Nurse
Lily joined our team in 2021 having begun working with animals as a trainee Vet Nurse in 2016 at a mixed practice in the Sunshine Coast. After finishing high-school and moving to Brisbane, she began studying human nursing but realised animals were her passion! Lily has worked as a Nurse for 7+ years at multiple GP clinics across Brisbane, she also enjoys volunteering at Pets In The Park. Outside of working Lily enjoys hiking, roller skating, playing pool, crafting, reading and seeing live music.
Veterinary Nurse
Chloe joined our team in early 2023. Chloe began her introduction to nursing in a busy emergency hospital. She has worked at multiple GP clinics across Brisbane, enjoying all the relationships with clients and their babies she has gathered along the way.
In her spare time, she enjoys cuddling with her kitties, George and Luka, spending time by the beach and focusing on her latest craft hyper fixation.
Trainee Vet Nurse
Sophie is a passionate animal lover that joined the team in 2023, she has owned everything from alpacas to fish and enjoys horse riding and aqua scaping in her spare time. Sophie is always eager to learn new things and loves meeting all your wonderful pets.
Trainee Vet Nurse
Laura is a trainee Veterinary Nurse who recently completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies. She joined us in January 2025 for her placement and has stayed on as a valued member of the team. Laura has grown up with a variety of animals and has always had dogs, she currently has two Staffy’s of her own. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, spending time with her animals, seeing friends and watching live music.
