Our Services

Vaccinations

All dogs and cats need to be vaccinated against life threatening diseases. It is important to remember that some vaccinations need to be repeated regularly in order to maintain their effectiveness. Vaccinations should be given according to the schedule given by your veterinarian and should become part of your dog and cat’s annual veterinary checkup.

Behaviour

Behaviour and mental health is part of a pet’s and family’s overall wellbeing. We offer behaviour consultations, and can refer to behaviour vets with Membership or Specialist qualifications where needed.

Jodie Westfield from InSync Pet Services provides our Puppy Preschool classes in clinic, and much of our training and behaviour modification. Jodie is a qualified force free trainer through Delta Institute. Please contact her directly for appointments or to join a puppy class. https://www.insyncpetservices.com.au/

Radiology and Pathology

We offer radiology, as well as in-house and external pathology. These technologies help us learn more about your pet’s condition, so we can develop a targeted treatment plan.

Acupuncture and Chiropractic

As an adjunct to western veterinary medicine Dr Katherine performs acupuncture and some Traditional Chinese Medicine. She has a Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Acupuncture. This can benefit many conditions from musculoskeletal stiffness to digestive issues. Please let us know if you are interested in investigating these options for your pet.

We also have a visiting chiropractor on Tuesdays. Nat and Hillary from natanddarcy.com.au

Desexing

Avoid unwanted litters by ensuring that your pet is desexed. This is a day surgical procedure done Mon-Fri at the clinic.

Visiting Specialists

Visiting veterinary specialists perform ultrasounds and orthopedic surgery.

Dentistry

We offer dental prophy (akin to a teeth cleaning for humans) as well as dental extractions.

Yes, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic we are offering phone and Skype consultations for our clients. Normal consultation fees apply.

Obviously we will need to examine some animals for a diagnosis, and there are legal restrictions on what we can prescribe for animals that we have not recently examined, so this will take some tweaking for new patients or those we have not seen in several months. However, an initial remote consultation will mean we can minimise the time we humans spend in close contact, and work out the best and safest way for us to proceed.

Pets can act as fomites (that is, carry particles of virus from droplets on their bodies) but this is still much reduced risk than close contact in a consultation room for 15-30 minutes.
